Free Range Creativity help people to get outdoors, active, inspired, in the mood to play, enjoy and co-exist within the natural world. It is led by Dr Mel McCree.

Formed in 2014, we support and develop land-based community and educational projects, through both practice and research. In particular, we focus upon woodlands for outdoor arts, play and learning, such as Forest School. We also support woodland wellbeing, creative arts, collaborative land management and training.

We are based in Gloucestershire, England and work both locally and internationally.

Currently, Mel is working on:

1) consultancy for forest kindergartens, supporting start-up and business development.

2) feral arts, adventure and education projects and feralosophy

Check out Mel’s recently published research here, including a study on the long term benefits of Forest School and outdoor learning for disadvantaged children.
